“Dr. Linus”

This is what I wrote before the episode aired:

This is the make it or break it (use it or lose it?) moment for the show. It’s frustrating to me that I am so firmly in the show’s pocket that even if every single remaining episode is really bad. At the same time, I’m really hoping that this is the episode that hooks me for the rest of the season.

“The Lighthouse”

I’m writing this a couple days after the episode aired, so most of the online conversation has covered anything I might say about the episode, however I do want to say two things:

1. I’m still running a little cold on this season. It hasn’t been bad, per se, but there hasn’t been an episode that I have no reservations about. This has been the case with other seasons too, but I think I’m a little less patient this time around because there are so few episodes left.

2. On the other hand, “The Lighthouse” has given me new hope that the events of the last episodes of season 6 will re-contextualize both season 6 and the previous 5 seasons into a coherent, and more awesome, whole. Thus far, I’m liking the journey of revisiting themes from season 1.

LOST: “What Kate Does”

This last season of LOST, I’m not going to try and recap every episode (there are other, better people on the internet doing that), but I will post any thoughts that I have on the episode if I feel like they have any value.
